Topic : THE DEVIL'S ATTACK TO THE CHRISTIAN OF REVIVAL.
Text: EPHESIANS 6 :10-18.
INTRODUCTION : 1 Peter 5:8 "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour". This verse of Bible is telling us about agenda of the wicked (Devils) against the will of God for the Christian of Revival. That means, Christian should value is position in God. He should understand that the Satan does not relent on the pursuit of the Christian. Satan target is to change Christian away from the will of God. In achieving his aim, he makes use of the falling (disobedience) angels called demons. Therefore, Satan and his host are the antagonist of the gospel today. Unfortunately, most Christians are not aware of the plans of Satan against them and the gospel. Ignorantly, they connects with Satan, propagating another gospel (false doctrine). By this time they cannot propagate the truth.
The Satan is fighting the last battle at this endtime to overcome the Christian by weaken them and won to his kingdom (Hell). 1 Timothy 3:1-5.
The word be "strong in the Lord" is a word for " BEING EMPOWERED WITH THE THIRD PARTY OF THE TRINITY (God the father, Son and Holy Spirit) "...A strength that emanate from a deep union with the Holy Ghost...So, Being strong in the Lord means to have drawn enough strength into ur spirit via the Steadfastly with the assemblies of holy brethren with the LORD..
Luke 10 verse 27" And he answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.” Means we must serve God wholeheartedly and fellowship in unity with our brethren, so that we can be revival and work again this attack of Satan and his host.
From Ephesians 6:14-16 The 7 Pieces of the Armor of GOD are:
Paul gives the church at Ephesus an illustration of what to put on as we fight against the Satan and his host that attacks the Christian of Revival . Although our battle is “not against flesh and blood” our armor protects from our enemies. Here are seven pieces of armor to put on daily and stand firm in the Lord:
7 PIECES OF THE ARMOR OF GOD
1.Belt of Truth.
2.Breastplate of Righteousness.
3.Feet fitted with the Gospel of Peace.
4.Shield of Faith.
5.Helmet of Salvation.
6.Sword of the Spirit -- The Word of God.
7.Spirit - filled prayer
1.Belt of Truth – Jesus says, “I am the way, the truth, the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” – John 14:6. Holding on the truth of your testimony of your salvation in him.
2.Breastplate of Righteousness – Only Jesus can make us right with God. Being right with God protects our heart and our lungs – the very core of our bodies. 1Corinthians 5:21, Proverbs 4:23
3. Feet Fitted with the gospel of peace – Is your soul at peace to bring peace to others with the Good News of Jesus? (Evangelism)
Romans 10:9-15 tells us, “How blessed are the feet of those who bring Good News.”
4.Shield of Faith – The size of the shield grows with our faith and allows us to extinguish the enemy’s flaming arrows. Are you allowing trials to increase and/or strengthen your faith? Check out: Hebrews 11:1 | James 1:2-4 | 1 Peter 1:3-9
5.Helmet of Salvation – Helmets protect our heads and in this case the thoughts of our minds. 2 Corinthians 10:5 says we “should take every thought captive to Jesus Christ.” Do you have assurance of salvation ?
6.Sword of the Spirit (God’s Word) – One of two of our offensive weapons. Knowing God’s Word and using it to counter the attacks of the enemy allow us to fight back the powers of darkness using God’s very own words. Are you in God’s Word asking him to speak to you and writing his Word on your hearts? Deuteronomy 6:4-9, 2 Timothy 3:16-17. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony;. Revelation 12 :11
7.Spirit-filled Prayer – Our second offensive weapon. Prayer has the ability to push back darkness and call in the light of Jesus into situations. Are you growing in your dialogue with God? 1 Thessalonians 5:16-17, Ephesians 6:18. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom He may devour:
1 Peter 5 :8.
Note: As Christian of the end time revival you must possess all the seven armor of God before we can conquered the Satan and his Host.
